A Week in the Life of My Pop-Up World

No two weeks ever look quite the same for me – and honestly, that’s exactly how I like it.

Most weeks, I’m out and about three days a week, setting up pop-ups across the North West, bringing what I do directly to people where they already are. That might be a hospital corridor buzzing with staff on a quick break, a corporate office full of familiar faces, or a one-off event with a real sense of occasion. It keeps things fresh, human, and wonderfully unpredictable.

My days usually start somewhere between 8am and 10am, depending on the venue and the crowd. There’s something quite special about those early moments – doors opening, kettles boiling, people arriving with that mix of focus and fatigue that says, “Right… let’s get through today.” I aim to be packed up and ready to go by 3pm to 5pm, though the time often flexes depending on the atmosphere and footfall. When conversations are flowing, it never feels like work.

I’m lucky to have a number of regular pop-up venues that feel a bit like old friends now. You’ll often find me at St Helens Hospital, Whiston Hospital, Walton Neuro Centre, or the Barclays Banking Centre in Wavertree, Liverpool. These regulars are the backbone of my working week, but I also love the excitement of one-off pop-ups and special events – new spaces, new people, new stories.

One thing that really matters to me is giving back. Wherever possible, I support and donate to charities along the way. Sometimes that’s a local cause tied to a venue, sometimes it’s something that’s close to my heart. I genuinely believe that small businesses and pop-ups can do a lot of good simply by showing up, being kind, and sharing success where we can.

The best part of this job? The people. The chats. The laughs. The unexpected moments. A pop-up isn’t just about what’s on the table – it’s about connection, community, and creating something positive in the middle of a busy day.

And I’m always looking ahead.

If you run a venue, organise events, or think a pop-up could work well in your workplace or community, I’d absolutely love to hear from you. If you think it’s something that could benefit us both, please head over to the Contact Me button and drop me a message. I’ll get back to you and we can see what’s possible.

Here’s to busy corridors, early starts, good conversations, and many more pop-ups across the North West.
